Given her limited command over the Hindi dialect the voice of her was dubbed over by the voice actress Mona Ghosh Shetty. Nargis Fakhri was born on September 20, 1979, from Queens, New York City, United States to Mohammed Fakhri and Marie Fakhri. Her younger sister is Aliya Fakhri. Her father, Mohammed Fakhri is a Pakistani as is her mother Marie Fakhri is a Czech. When she was only 7 years old, parents split up. Her father died within a short time. Marie Fakhri, her mother was a retired police officer. Nargis is a Global Citizen due to her mixture of Pakistani as well as Czech ethnicity, as well being a citizen of American citizenship.
